MY ART JOURNEY

Myself, Soumen Bhowmick, 75' born in Kolkata (West Bengal), India. Did my B.F.A. from College of Art New Delhi, 1997. Since then working as a Visual Artist. Doing painting & some times illustration for various publications in India. Writing poems and essays is how I relax my mind. Also teach when I get the time in various art colleges in and around Delhi. Visiting Lecturer with NGMA, College of Art (Delhi), Amity School of Fine Arts (Noida), Apeejay Stya University (Sohna), South Delhi Polytechnic for Women, and Wigan & Leigh College. Conducted Art Workshops for National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi and Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi.

Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava, (BIB)
Invited in 2011, for the prestigious 23rd Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava, (BIB). Held at the Historic Building of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava. Sponsored by AWIC, India. It was a proud moment to represent India. There were 44 countries, 356 illustrators with the 2318 illustrations from 458 books.
